Luchando Por la Vida (Fighting for Life) is a group of 7 ladies who are sewing up a dream.  They are making gorgeous bags, dresses, scarves, and more.  They grew up as poor peasants who owned nothing, but they have a dream for a better life for their children.  Thru this project, they began sewing small bags, then bought their own machines, and have a place to work.  They now feed their children daily, and send them to school…thing not available before this work.  They have helped their village by sewing mosquito nets to fight malaria which is a constant problem there.  They have given their husbands a loan to start a cement block-making business.  They are very proud of the work they are doing.  Their self-esteem has grown through the confidence that comes with this work.  Lives are changing….
