Hilda bakes her beads in her mud stove while she is cooking her rice and beans for the family’s dinner. That way she doesn’t use so much wood for the fire.   She strings her clay beads with a few glass beads in between on waxed linen cord, and uses surgical steel earring hooks.  She has various necklace designs : fish, hearts, houses, butterflies, gechos,  sun, and just plain beads.

Hilda has 5 children, and is helping to feed her family with her money from this project.
